Button front linen shirt dress in beautiful hand-dyed sumi marble print. Featuring a point collar, button cuffs, side seam pockets. Drop waist. Relaxed, comfortable fit. Can be worn open as a duster. Each piece is hand dyed and has a different marblling pattern. 

Kusaki Zome is a traditional dyeing technique that uses dyes extracted from natural plants and wood to dye cloth and yarn. This method has been used since before the spread of chemical dyes and is characterized by its environmental friendliness. Unlike chemical dyes, natural dyes change their hues over time, creating a richly textured look.

Catechu is a tannin dye obtained from the bark of acacia and mangrove trees, producing an austere brown color. It has excellent durability and is used for dyeing Japanese kimonos.

Shibuki is a yellow or yellow-green dye is extracted from dokudami, a well-known medicinal herb, which has antibacterial properties and gives fabrics a soft color.

Sumi is a black dye obtained from bamboo charcoal or charcoal, it produces deep blacks and grays, and is used for simple, sober designs in the Japanese tradition.
