Wool regulates body temperature and is breathable. The fabric is biodegradable, and it comes from a renewable source. It is often seen as the technical fabric of nature because it also absorbs moisture without feeling wet or cold, is antibacterial and has odor-fighting properties. Wool is resistant to static electricity, hypoallergenic and fire-resistant. The natural crimps of wool allow the fabric to maintain its shape well and endure stretching.
Wool comes from sheep and goats. The process of producing wool fabric starts with shearing the sheep, after which impurities are removed. Wool is then separated into different quality classes based on fiber diameter, length and color.
